KEITH CALDWELL
PRINCIPAL

I have an unusual mix of more than 40 years in commerce and industry, as well as significant time as an accountant in public practice. My experience spans from small business to senior finance roles in large organisations. Years of experience has taught me that in most businesses there are a small number of key principles for success – and how important it is to focus and get those things right.

Driven by a passion for small business, I first registered as a tax agent in 1982, and have been practicing as an accountant and tax agent ever since. I also have a commerce degree (for my technical qualifications) and an MBA, in support of my business experience. However, my passion, the thing that gets me out of bed each morning, remains working with people in real businesses, to make a positive and tangible difference.

I originally hail from Sydney. Once the kids moved out, my wife, Julia and I purchased a house in the Noosa Region and built JCA Accountants from two existing practices in 2016.

I love Noosa and the lifestyle, especially from a height of 1,500 feet occasionally, when I get to fly out of Caloundra or Gympie in a light sport aircraft.

I bring to the JCA team over 25 years’ experience spanning both public practice and private industry. I’ve worked as a CFO for a large residential developer in Vail Colorado, as well as managing a diverse and extensive commercial real estate portfolio for Vail Resorts.

I received an MBA from Kennesaw University and a Bachelor of Accounting and Business from Northern Vermont University. I am a current Member of The American Institute of CPA’s, CPA Australia and the Colorado State Society of CPA’s.

I am currently leading the JCA Audit team and am able to provide  for all your statutory Audit needs. Law Trust Accounts with Queensland Law Society or  Real Estate Trust Accounts and Non-Profit and Association Audits for the Office of Fair Trade, JCA has you covered.

I have given up the ski’s, embraced the ‘Noosa Lifestyle’ and can now be found learning to Longboard down at Noosa Woods with my two children Peri 17 and Nathan 14, who are currently attending St Andrews and active in the local  clubs of Little Seed Theatre and Noosa Lions Football.
